Conjunctival Nevus Excision Biopsy | One Eye

At ROQUE Eye Clinic, we are able to remove conjunctival nevi, if it is suspicious in appearance. An excision biopsy with histopathologic analysis is performed. EXCISION BIOPSY (PER EYE, PER SITE - temporal or nasal bulbar conjunctiva only) - ONE (1) session, average of thirty (60) minutes - topical and local anesthesia - combination steroid antibiotic drops for one month - outpatient, day surgery - Philhealth required - cosmetic procedures are usually not covered by HMOs - may experience variable downtime due to foreign body sensation and tearing - SPECIAL ITEMS (made available upon request, with additional cost) - Tisseel fibrin glue, Amniotek amniotic membrane Follow-up visits at one week and one month after the excision biopsy Histopathologic analysis, usually available at one week, will determine prognosis and longitudinal care. POST-OP CARE - No swimming for one month after the excision biopsy. - Removal of sutures, if used, is completed in one month. - Adhere to lifetime dry eye management. - The use of daily preservative-free ophthalmic lubricants is advised. - Polarized anti-UV sunglasses are required outdoors. - Swimming goggles are required for pool or beach water activities.

Conjunctival Nevus (Eye Freckle) Laser Removal | One Eye

At ROQUE Eye Clinic, we can remove conjunctival nevi if it is cosmetically unacceptable to the patient. This is performed for benign conjunctival melanotic lesions only. If a lesion is suspected to be potentially malignant, such as in cases of melanoma, then an excision biopsy will be recommended instead. This will entail surgical removal of the pigmented lesion with histopathologic analysis. 1. This published rate is the professional fee for one of two possible treatment zones per eye. 2. Each eye has a nasal treatment zone and a temporal treatment zone. Take a look at the gallery image to view each treatment zone. 3. The facility fee for using the laser machine per eye is paid directly at the hospital billing section. 4.
