OVERVIEW

Teleconsultation or virtual clinic visits provide online access to an ophthalmologist through secure video consultation. This service supports follow-up care, triage, medication guidance, and result review. It is convenient and effective for selected eye concerns, while in-person visits remain essential for full examinations.

OCULAR HISTORY AND EXAMINATION

PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Your personal information will be logged into the electronic medical records of ROQUE Eye Clinic.

CLINICAL HISTORY.

Clinical history taking will be performed. Your ophthalmic history, medical history, and family history will be reviewed. Please take note of all the medications that you are currently taking.

PRESCRIPTION GLASSES.

You will be asked to do pre-assessment self-tests with your prescription glasses using the Eye Handbook App.

VISION AND REFRACTION.

Your visual acuity will be taken with and without your prescription eyeglasses. Results of pre-assessment self-tests using the Eye Handbook App will be requested prior to your teleconsultation. All these measurements are critical in determining your best potential visual acuity.

GROSS EXAMINATION.

Your eyelids, eyelashes, and the anterior segment (conjunctiva, cornea, pupil, iris, and lens) of your eye will be examined with a flashlight. This examination is performed to search for lid and lash conditions, corneal diseases, pupil and iris abnormalities, and lens status.

FINGER PALPATION TONOMETRY.

Closed lids are palpated with two fingers. The description would be either soft, normal, or hard. Soft is similar to your lips, normal is similar to the tip of your nose, and hard is similar to your forehead.

1. Service includes scheduled virtual consultation and medical advice based on available information. 2. This service does not replace a full in-clinic eye examination. 3. Diagnosis may be limited without physical testing and imaging. 4. Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate. 5. Fees may vary by case complexity and duration. 6. Urgent symptoms require immediate in-person or emergency care. 7. Technical failure may require rescheduling.
