PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Ozurdex is a small, biodegradable intravitreal implant that slowly releases dexamethasone, a corticosteroid medicine, inside the eye. It is designed to reduce inflammation and swelling in the retina, which is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye responsible for vision. The implant is placed directly into the vitreous cavity of the eye using a specially designed applicator in a controlled clinical setting.

This treatment is evidence-based and widely used in ophthalmology for specific retinal conditions where inflammation and fluid buildup threaten vision.

INDICATIONS

Ozurdex may be recommended by your ophthalmologist for selected patients with the following conditions:
