DETAILS

IN-CLINIC CONSULTATION (FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATION)

An in-clinic consultation is a comprehensive, face-to-face medical evaluation performed by a licensed ophthalmologist inside the clinic. During this visit, the doctor personally examines your eyes, reviews your medical history, and discusses your concerns in detail. As a result, you receive an accurate diagnosis and a clear, individualized treatment plan.

WHAT THIS SERVICE INCLUDES

The consultation focuses on active assessment and direct physician interaction. First, the doctor listens to your symptoms and visual concerns. Next, the clinic team measures visual acuity, eye pressure, and other baseline data as needed. Then, the ophthalmologist performs a focused eye examination using specialized instruments. Afterward, the doctor explains the findings and outlines recommended treatment options.

This service may include the following components when clinically indicated.

1. Detailed medical and ocular history review
2. Vision testing and refraction assessment
3. Slit-lamp examination of the anterior eye
4. Intraocular pressure measurement
5. Dilated retinal examination when necessary
6. Discussion of medical, laser, or surgical options

WHO SHOULD SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

Patients benefit from an in-clinic consultation when they experience blurred vision, eye pain, redness, floaters, glare, or sudden visual changes. In addition, individuals with diabetes, hypertension, or a family history of eye disease should undergo regular eye evaluation. Early assessment allows timely diagnosis and reduces preventable vision loss.

WHY FACE-TO-FACE EVALUATION MATTERS

A physical examination allows the ophthalmologist to observe subtle findings that remote screening cannot detect. Therefore, face-to-face consultation improves diagnostic accuracy. Direct discussion also helps patients understand their condition and treatment choices clearly. Moreover, immediate clarification of questions improves safety and decision-making.

AFTER THE CONSULTATION

After the evaluation, the doctor provides a treatment plan based on clinical findings. This plan may include medication prescriptions, additional diagnostic tests, or procedural recommendations. When appropriate, the clinic schedules follow-up visits to monitor response and adjust management.
